Are the books made of wax?

Yes, the Readers' Retreat candle is a pillar style candle and is made of completely of wax.

That means that as it burns, the beautiful bookshelf will slowly melt away. Alas, sometimes lifes most beautiful treasures are but fleeting memories...

Don't worry though, it still makes a beautiful decoration if you can't bring yourself to burn it!

What's in the candles?

Each of our candles is handpoured with a premium soy blend wax.

This means they contain a majority soy, with some additional elements such as paraffin wax blended in. These additional elements help stabilise the wax and improve it's overall performance and aesthetic.

In addition, our candles are infused with high quality fragrance oils and colour dyes.

The wicks are 100% cotton.
